Description of Training Program:
· First 3-12 months will be devoted to learning the Automotive Coatings manufacturing processes, PPG paint technology, paint formulation, paint processing, and application methods, in our Cleveland, OH facility.
· Will also receive Quality and safety training.
· In-the-field training will be provided for customer interaction and to further develop technical service abilities.
Typical Assignments after Training:
Assigned to a specific customer team account (Hyundai or Kia). The assignment will be at a customer’s assembly plant location in Montgomery, Alabama (Hyundai) or near Atlanta, Georgia (KIA). The Technical Liaison Rep acts as the intermediate or “liaison” between PPG Korean Transplant customers (i.e. Hyundai, KIA) and PPG Associates to ensure that the customer’s requirements are established, understood and satisfied. The Liaision Rep is responsible for the efficient and effective performance of all PPG products through technical expertise, problem identification/resolution and process observations applied to both PPG and the customers operations. The Liaison Rep supports on-time delivery of the product; assures that the product meets agreed-to specifications between the customer and PPG; audits product to avoid returns due to out-of-spec material; advises the customer of the benefits of new PPG technology; and supports customer imposed/requested product trials by clarifying what is to be expected and translating information.
Starting Locations:
Cleveland, OH and then relocation to specific customer team account following training period.
